A changing policy and payment landscape necessitate the demonstration of efficacy and value (both financial and non-financial) of occupational services provided through telehealth. Components of cost and cost effectiveness associated with telehealth may include a decrease in cancelled appointments and “no shows,” and indirect cost savings for clients such as less time off work and elimination of travel to therapy appointments.
